No Frigate Like a Book from Janalyn Voigt

No Frigate Like a Book

There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry –
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll –
How frugal is the chariot
That bears the human soul.

Emily Dickinson

Dickinson’s poem captures everything I love about reading novels. There’s nothing better than discovering a new fictional world to explore. I’m among the many who prefer to read books in series. That way I can immerse myself for longer.  Maybe that’s why I also write books in series. Here’s the latest news on my series in three genres.

Final Thoughts from Janalyn

Author Janalyn VoigtAfter several years of reading to review books and judge literary contests. I’ve been burned out on reading. Writing the inspirational thoughts in my reader news has helped me overcome this problem. Finally, I’m chomping at the bit to lose myself in a good book once more.

Finding time to read is an issue for most of us, but we make time for what we value most. Reminding myself of the riches reading adds to my life moves it up in my priorities.  How about you?   Are you giving enough time to reading?

Thanks for reading!
