Skunked but not Sunk

I’ll admit to being skunked by back-to-back deadlines, which is why I missed posting last month’s reader news. Life has returned to normal, finally, or at least almost. I do have a lot of releases stacked up ahead of me, one in each of my main genres and several not-yet-announced projects.

Reader News

Here’s the latest on my books in three genres and other writings.

Epic Fantasy

Epic Fantasy Books by Janalyn VoigtI completed my publisher’s requested edits for DawnKing (Tales of Faeraven, book 4). I’m gearing up for the launch of Sojourner (Tales of Faeraven, book 3). I’ll let you know the release date soon.

What’s next for the epic fantasy genre? I’m planning to write an Arthurian tale in a style similar to the Tales of Faeraven novels.

Western Historical Romance

Western Historical Fiction by Janalyn VoigtHills of Nevermore (Montana Gold, book 1)  remains at the discounted  price of $2.99 (normally $3.99) for the Kindle ebook ($12.99 paperback).  Purchase.

Cheyenne Sunrise (Montana Gold, book 2)  is also still on discount at $2.99 (normally $3.99) for the Kindle ebook ($12.99 paperback).  Purchase.

My publisher decides these things, but I suspect the discounted price will end soon. Both books remain free on Kindle Unlimited.

I’ve completed edits for Stagecoach to Liberty, the third book in the Montana Gold western historical romance series.

It’s official! The Forever Sky (Montana Gold, book 4) iwill release in 2019. I’m currently delving into research for this novel.

Romantic Suspense

Romantic Mystery Novels of Janalyn VoigtI’m currently editing Deceptive Tide (Islands of Intrigue, book 3) .  I wanted to release my first full-length indie book in May, but once again this book has proven to be a bear to edit. Writing romantic suspense involves tracking details and working out tricky timelines. While I’m anxious to bring this book out for readers, I also want it to be the best I can make it.  Thanks for your patience. I’m giving this project my utmost attention.

  1. I appreciate your diligence in your romantic mystery writing (if I understand you correctly about timelines), because I hate reading chronologically impossible scenes…or scenic repetitions, which I’ve also come across more often than I care to (which is never). 🙂 I gladly would rather wait for a well-written book than a quickly released one.
(Pardon the cliche, but) keep up the good work, Janalyn!!
