Call me crazy, but I love winter. That’s when the cold subdues weeds in the yard, a snow storm might require me to stay home with my family, and books wait to be cherished. There’s nothing better than settling in beside a cozy fire beside someone you love for a long reading session. This low-tech activity can help anyone weather a stormy night.
Reader News
Here’s the latest on my books in three genres and other writings.
Epic Fantasy
I’m waiting for my publisher’s requested edits of DawnKing (Tales of Faeraven, book 4) and for the galley copy of Sojourner (Tales of Faeraven, book 3).
What’s next for the epic fantasy genre? An idea for a new fantasy series has been percolating in my mind for several years. I’ll tell more about this in the future.

Western Historical Romance
What a wonderful way to start the new year, with Hills of Nevermore (Montana Gold, book 1) free on Kindle Unlimited and Cheyenne Sunrise (Montana Gold, book 2) available for presale on Amazon.
I’m working on Stagecoach to Liberty, the third book in the Montana Gold series. Con, a supporting character in the first two novels, comes forward as the hero.

Romantic Suspense
I’m still editing Deceptive Tide (Islands of Intrigue, book 3) in the gaps between other projects. It’s coming along, and I’ll assign a release date as soon as possible.

Author Appearances
American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) is featuring me in an author interview this month. I’m also scheduled to appear on several well-known blogs next month, including Petticoats and Pistols and Inkslingers. I’ll update my calendar with information and links.
