They call it a three-book collision, that interesting time for an author when deadlines for three books in various states of completion collide. This happens for a number of reasons. Publishers, not authors, control when their requested edits arrive in an author’s email inbox, complete with a deadline. Some publishers are predictable, while others are not. If you’ve ever had an on-call job, it’s something like that.
In my case, I complicated matters by signing contracts for separate series with different publishers. Fortunately, both have been gracious, which helped tremendously. Since March, I have worked on edits for one manuscript, submitted a new book to my publisher, and reviewed a galley for one of my books about to release. For the rest of the month, I expect to finish the (interrupted) edits for the original book and start edits for the new book I just submitted. Sometimes I feel like a juggler.

Epic Fantasy
I’m in the middle of my publisher’s requested edits for DawnKing (Tales of Faeraven, book 4). I’ve reviewed the galley for Sojourner (Tales of Faeraven, book 3). I’ll let you know when I have a release date.
What’s next for the epic fantasy genre? An idea for a new fantasy series has been percolating in my mind for several years. I’ll tell more about this in the future.

Western Historical Romance
The special for Hills of Nevermore (Montana Gold, book 1) and Cheyenne Sunrise (Montana Gold, book 2) ends soon! Both are discounted to $2.99 (normally $3.99) for the Kindle ebook ($12.99 paperback). Both remain free on Kindle Unlimited.
I’ve completed Stagecoach to Liberty, third book in the Montana Gold western historical romance series. Con, a supporting character in the first two novels, comes forward as the hero in book three.
